A Case of Vibrio Vulnificus Septicemia

Abstract

|
A case of V. vulnificus septicemia is precented and recent literatures are briefly reviewed.
A 35 year old male had been admitted to FATIMA Hospital in july 18, 1986, with chief complaints of severe edema, dull pain, bulla formations and necrotic changes of right lower extremity after taking raw fishes one day prior to the onset of above clinical symptoms.
On admission day, blood and tissue fluid culture was done, which was isolated slightly curved gram negative, lactose ferment bacilli, so called Vibrio vulnificus
